Hi, I've read numerous posts about 219, but my question(s) are- where
can you find the information relative to the test outline provided by microsoft? This as in- besides for purchase from microsoft test preparation materials. Exam Cram's I have and won't cut it, it doesn't cover the core subject matter and it's the subject matter I'm trying to find but can't. In example- I have 214, 216, 217, 218, and 219 -or- 220, or 221 to take and I'm about ready to do it. Thing is- with all the tests mentioned besides 219, 220, and 221, all the 'prep' information is right there in the server help doc's, white sheets, on technet, explaining the technology -how it works, what it can do, etc. One only has to become good on covering information, for instance- after seeing many posts about 216 and how hard that is, I see why, but now I'm not worried about 216 at all. I've now covered every aspect of whats on 216 defined by the test outline from ms by default from available info. But it's the 219 I don't get. Analyze 'existing and planned' business models? What business models? Analyze Company Processes? What company processes? Analyze factors that influence company strategies? What strategies? Etc,etc. In googling '70-219', I turned up some pages that spoke of data warehousing, data mining, and activex objects use and more in their outlines. Where is the material available that covers this information- only in microsoft test prep kits and bundles? Is the design test's something completely different in this aspect from the technical tests? 219 has technical AD stuff outlined, that's not the problem, how did 'you' other self study folks deal with this? Thanks. scav scav_engr@yahoo.com |

I personally prefer MS Press. You probably won't find all "free" information on how to prepare for this exam, although there are many KB articles and technet papers that will help immensely. It's best to take the design exams last so you get a good grounding in the technology -- you will need a thorough understanding of the OS and all its services to design a solution based on Windows 2000. The design exams present case studies (long case studies with lots of details so be good at reading and taking notes) and then a series of 10 - 15 questions that examine your understanding of how to design a solution that will meet the requirements stated in the case study. So you will need a thorough understanding of MS approved methodologies for design. -- Catwalker aka Pu$$y Feet BS, MCP, MCSA MCNGP #43 www.mcngp.com faq.mcngp.com "If man could be crossed with the cat, it would improve man, but it would deteriorate the cat."
