CONNECTING FR VISTA NOTEBOOK TO XP WIRELESS

ativa wireless router set up on desktop running XP. wep2 security configured
on router. laptop runnig vista. laptop network set up with matching password
detects and shows the wireless network but fails to connect. Router and
laptop network passwords verified. Any suggestions ???

The keys don't match. It took me three tries to get my laptop to connect.
And, I should add, I had the laptop beside the router where I could see the
key.
