Default Passed 70-270 Today!

I passed exam 70-270. Passing score is 700, my score 984. That makes 5
exams out of 7 for the MCSE and now I am an MCSA.

Think good thoughts for me as I tackle the security exams! I'm giving
myself until the end of June.

Congrats. You almost certainly missed zero or one items. Did you you
find the exam easy. Judging by you score, you likely did. How did you
prepare?

I don't actually know how many I missed since the maximum score is not
disclosed and the questions are weighted. I think it's safe to say I did
well enough though. I wasn't sure I even passed until I saw the score --
there were a few questions as I was going along that I wasn't totally
positive about. I get a little nervous with these exams sometimes and
try to second guess everthing. Some wise person posting recently
suggested going with your first answer and not going back to change
anything so I've been practicing that philosophy and it has served me
well so far. But I'm always cringing slightly when I hit that button to
generate my score.

Installed the evaluation version (several times trying out attended,
unattended, and RIS), used MS Press 2nd edition (just published),
Resource Kit (available online), free e-learning course(sorry it was only
available until the end of this month), Transcender, Self Test, Technet
Articles, KB articles, and whatever else I could get my grubby paws on.
(If you have to pick Transcender or Self Test for whatever reason, I
personally like Transcender better because they have better references
when they explain the answers.)

I did the practice exercises and tried out things while I was reading,
kept focused on the process with few breaks, read the book as fast as I
could (20 chapters in 12 days), answered review questions and made sure I
understood the concepts as I went along, and scheduled my exam as soon as
I felt I was getting a grasp on the material.

Sorry Ben for my other long answer to this post. I didn't know who you
were and thought you were asking for advice to prepare. Oh well,
somebody'll read it. Or not. <eg>
