It *used* to be valuable, and that's why so many people want to be
certified. However, since so many people are certified, it decreases it's
value. It's like if I had 1 Ty Cobb rookie card. I'd value it at more than
my own life. But, if I had 100, each one wouldn't be as valuable as the one
before it. Follow? There are too many chefs in the kitchen, here, and way
too many unqualified chefs. It's not impossible to get a job, but it's a lot
harder than it was 5 years ago.
