If you have taken this exam in 2005, please let us know
if you have passed. Also in your opinion how closely did the exam follow to skill matrix in the 70-292 preparation guide: http://www.microsoft.com/learning/exams/70-292.asp There has been a lot of talk about this exam being broken, that it does not follow the skills matrix. Please let us know what you think. Thanks, Darrell Darrell |

OK. If someone will pay the test fee, I will sacrifice myself
to find out what is going on here. I'll take the test and report back my score. There does seem to be something going on here and I plan to get to the bottom of it. kpg Oh yeah, I'll want to take the test during the week, so I'll need to be reimbursed for the day off of work, and some gas money to drive into town...plusethe test fee...but that should do it. kpg |

Has anyone passed this exam since Jan 2005? I am MCSE
2000 and have 10 years IT and networking experience. I have been using Windows Server 2003 almost 15 months and have a good knowledge and hands-on skills with this product. I was prepared for the exam and sat for the exam on 18/02/05, I was so confident that I will pass the exam and I believe that I did well, but guess what? I FAILED with a score of 650 and passing score of 700. I have done many Microsoft exams and never failed one, except this one (70-292). has anyone have any suggestion of what might went wrong and what I can do to improve and pass the exam. any suggestion welcome. I don't think anyone reading this forum has passed this exam in 2005. If they
did, why would they hang here? Just those who have not taken it yet, and the losers. "Darrell" wrote: > If you have taken this exam in 2005, please let us know > if you have passed. But it leaves alot for the test candidate to fill in the gaps with, and that is fustrating. I am personally considering on waiting till they release the 2003 Resouce book before taking this again to supplement my knowledge. Study hard is one thing, but studing smart is better. Used the " Upgrade Training Kit frm Microsoft, which gave me a really good insight to using the OS and its subcomponents. Preparing one for the test it wasn't exactly on the mark. Microsoft seems to have lots of gaps and one has to look in numerous places from Microsoft web pages it seems to fully understand what exactly is the Microsoft Answer. mta64014 |

Using Online web resources from TechNet, Webcasts and Microsoft.com as well
as Reading pertinent sections of various resource Kits will give you all the information you need to properly prepare for the test...the problem comes in finding all those resources. The question was asked and someone hinted that only Losers are among those who, having passed MCSE or MCSA 2003 certifications, still visit and post in the forum. I guess the idea of coming back to help those that have helped you is a foreign concept? Maybe even the idea that since we all don't know everything there is to know...it's good to drop in occasionally to access current trends in test results, pass/fail rates, news of or sharing reviews on new publications ... is also suspect. Apparently, the only people in the NG should be MVP's and people seeking information? Blind leading the blind or waiting, hoping that your question is one that will be addressed by an MVP...not much for choices? Better to listen to an endless carousel of complaints about the unfairness of the test, than to hear actual that others have taken and passed the test. That way you are relieved of any reason to dig deeper, study harder, get more experience...better to constantly harp, ask for either a dumb-down test or lobby for one that is Hands-on, knowing full well the likely hood of the latter is unlikely to improve either the pass rate of truly knowledgeable candidates or be of reasonable cost, but it comes off as a intelligent request, to those grasping at straws. In microsoft.public.cert.exam.mcse, Neil climbed on a soapbox & opined:
