I have found a possible defect in my F31 which appears as a vertical red
line when used in movie mode
It is only visible if in dark conditions when the iso is boosted to 3200
pesumeably and the picture is very grainy
I then looked at photo and in some with little detail could detect a very
faint line or distortion of the picture along this line
but at only one pixel or two wide. It is not normally visible on screen
except when blown up.
I am wondering whether to return this or if it is nt worth it or get fuji
to look at it.
I tested another one previously and returned it due to dead pixels.
Im wondering what would cause this?
The movie exposure cant be controlled or the iso limited so the high
graininess is unavoidable in low light
and the quality of the movies isnt great anyway. Im more concerned about
defect turnig up on photos.

Hello, Philip:

A few weeks ago, I experienced a similar problem, as I was shooting
a brief, outdoor video clip, with my Kodak V603. It was caused by
direct sunlight, striking the lens.

I doubt that it's anything, for either of us, to worry about.

Good luck!

Cordially,
