MCSE - Windows XP home hangs after login

Default Windows XP home hangs after login


In safe mode also , I can bring up the task manager and run some stuff but
not explorer ,
In regular mode I get my wallpaper and it stops there ,
I was able to run adware and I found nothing , registery looks ok

Any Ideas ?

A few details might be nice, such as, is this a fresh install or and
upgrade, or
did this start after you installed some new software. What have you
tried to do to solve the problem yourself? Your current query makes
you look like the typical clueless (l)user that is so prevalent out there.

lose thy data

Or slave the drive to another machine and get the data off and do a clean
install in the original machine. Sounds like it could be infested with
malware/spyware.
