I am in market for a 6506, but I am clueless as to what the
differences are between all the different Sup engines, fabric, etc.,.

Does anyone know a good website that cleary explains all this. I tried
searching cisco's site, but it is not very straightforward.

I do know that the Sup 2 is 32Gbps fabric, with expandability via a
fabric module. But I need to the specs of Sup 1A. Also, which ethernet
modules are fully subscribed in bandwidth, or which ones are under
subscribed (i.e. 48pt GigE, the card is only 8Gbps, and so on).

Any links or pointers would be great.

thanks
john

Hi John,

You may wish to investigate the Cisco Catalyst Switch Guide:
