Default Study: 400K Fewer Tech Jobs Since 2001

The U.S. information tech sector lost 403,300 jobs between
March 2001 and this past April, and the market for tech
workers remains bleak, according to a new report.

Perhaps more surprising, just over half of those jobs --
206,300 -- were lost after experts declared the recession
over in November 2001, say the researchers from the
University of Illinois-Chicago.

The industry was way overblown in the first place. To many fake jobs
created by fake companies that went under.

Don't complain, retrain yourself. If your job as a buggy-whip maker went
away, I suggest you learn how to do something else.

The recession was over in 2001? hehehe yeah right.... From a perspective of
the construction industry... although there was construction going on... the
prices were soooo cheap (and still are) that it was impossible to make a
nickle... and the only reason that construction was going on is because
interest rates were sooo low.

But of those 206,300 jobs that *were* lost... how many of those people were
actually worth employing? The economy was going crazy in the mid to later
'90's.... I remember that I could buy a stock at breakfast and by lunch
tripled my money (of course things also went the other way too) but you just
don't seem to see that right now... I think the economy is more in a
stabilization period right now....

"Experts" what do they know?

That is because our President sucks.
He also said the war is over. Really? why are we still in
iraq?
Where are the WMD?
Why hasnt he done anything about gas prices? because he
is making millions of dollars off of it since he has alot
of personal money invested in oil.
Bush doesn't care about the american people and I don't
about him.
