I just received a Notification of Refund Approval from AOL They're
informing me that my request for refund has been approved and I should
expect it within 2-3 days. I never asked for any refund. Did anyone
else receive such notice? Does anyone know what it means? Thanks, EJ

Yeah, they're sending me $20,000. All I have to do is give them my user
name and password.

Let me guess... You need to go to a website and enter your credit card
number to get the refund right?

Ideally your unsolicited mail would have been screened by a powerful
spamfilter so that mail from strange sources would have been tagged as
being spam/phish/scam/bogus.

Ideally you would be sufficiently knowledgeable about email headers so
that whenever you receive a strange email, that you would be looking at
its headers before you even thought about actually opening it up and
reading it and trying to guess at its veracity.

But, many/most users are configured to accept /all/ of their mail, good
and bad all mixed together, into their Inbox where they 'look at'/ start
the reading process with/ its subject and from, and then after they get
thru' reading the subject/from it is time for them to start reading the
inside. Then after they get thru' reading the inside, they start
wanting to know some more about what it said, so they start cooperating
with the mail's instructions.

Before I would start venturing a guess about 'what it means' I would
want to see its complete headers. I'm not even interested in what the
body sez.
