Long story short, I have about 70 computers here I administrate. We use
Outlook 2003 as our email client.

5 of the machine have XP Pro x64.

Last week the boys out at corporate migrated to a new email server. The 65
32Bit machines connected to the new Exchange server with NO problems.

The x64 machines however, did not. You get the nice message "The connection
to the Microsoft Exchange Server is unavailable. Outlook must be online or
connected to complete this action." The 5 x64 machines ping and resolve to
the DNS name with NO problems. I am at a loss... Every little tweak I attempt
has been useless.

Any input would be greatly appreciated!

Is ISA part of that environment?

There are known issues with ISA and x64 clients - usually around RPC
filters. You may need an update to ISA or to your Exchange server to match
up the RPC behaviour.

ISA is not part of our environment. We use CheckPoint as our firewall /
routing.

After watching the CheckPoint SmartView Tracker, it looks like the server
(destination) end is blocking throughput for whatever reason.

Tomorrow will be another day of fun.
