Default A new network.

I've gone throught the "set up a home or small business network" in Network
connections on both my Dad's desktop and laptop. I can connected to the
internet on both computers. I've done this a million time and have
SUCCESSFULLY set up a network. This time I'm not seeing any shared harddisks
or folders.

Is there a way to double check anything. I know my workgroup yadda yadda
and all that stuff. I'm completely stumped.

Thanks for all/any help.
-Jason
