An acquaintance of mine is a Microsoft MVP in one of the developer tools.
His sig for all business email correspondence reads: Joe Blow Company zzz Microsoft [productName] MVP Many have commented that it is inappropriate for business. His coworkers, who are more qualified in the product than he is resent it. One stated: "I could also be an MVP if I elected to answer Usenet questions all day as opposed to working". Is it appropriate for an employee of a Fortune 500 type company to answer questions throughout the day on company time to maintain MVP status? Opinions? I do not think so. However, if a person is an independent consultant, it makes sense as business leads can be generated by this. Network Guru |

And it is awarded not earned. Frankly, I think you are way off base on this one NG... -- Neil MCNGP #30 Minutus cantorum, minutus balorum, minutus carborata descendum pantorum.
