Well, basically, what we're seeing here in action is two out of the
three or four Default Responses, where he hopes he'll have a new Posting
Pal for Life:
- Response A, "101 Generic Insults for All Occasions", where he hopes
you'll come back with an even neat-o'er Generic Insult to top that one,
and so on, for more and more borscht-belt fun, just so long as it isn't
a "Yo mama so fat" one, and
- Response B "Distract your enemy with Proofreading!"
This includes spelling errors, grammatical errors, and that beloved Lazy
Troll's Favorite[TM] the world over, yes, yours and mine...TOP-POSTING
COMPLAINTS!
Sooner or later, they just can't resist, since it sounds so much like an
actual flame post. (Well, doesn't it? Kinda?)
In other words, he just dropped down on his lil' geeky knees and
*begged* you to respond and keep the thread going.
Problem is, you were just dumb enough to, instead of snipping off the
thread and watching his face as another part of his personal group
dependency just vanished.
Oh, well...The More You Know.
