I completed the 2003 track
but took the 220 for my design cert because the new exam wasn't available yet. The design exam looks nothing like any of the other MCSE exams. There's a lot to read. The exam contains only scenarios. The one good bit of news is for once there is little time pressure. I can almost guarantee you won't run out of time. Remember word problems back in grade school? Recall how jotting down all you're given and all you need to determine was so important? Of course, some of what you read in a scenario is fluff. Ask yourself which facts in the scenario you, the consultant, can do anything with or about. Another nice thing about the 220 is it seems to be free of the trick questions found on many of the other tests. The only trick to avoid is being bogged down in the irrelevant material. If you've done well so far, you will do well here. I felt the 220 (Security Design), the 270 (XP), and my elective (ISA) were the three easy tests. The other 4, on the other hand, were much harder and had much longer lists of relevant topics. Good luck to you. ============== "myrt webb" <> wrote in message news:19b4001c44d70$95d3fb30$... > How does the exam for a design cert like 70-220, differ > from the core cert exams(210,215,216,217)?? I am about to take it this week and I've noticed that the material is like focused on security while the core 4 you listed above me only carry segments on security. Steve A |
