OT: Shadow IT Downer
did anyone get hit with "shadow IT" in their work? we just did. it's awful.
this new tech savvy guy took over a department. he didn't like the way we did things. he asked us to change them. we said no. so he just went off and created his own IT department to support his own department. bought sevrers and the whole kapoodle. he will get training for some of his tech savvy staff to be admins for him. if things go wrong, we fix it. if we don't - we get in trouble. don't you just love IT?
