I've try to clean install the 64bit version using my original production
key, but somehow a 32 bit version was installed.
Do I need to re-gen the production key?

The keys and the media for 32-bit and 64-bit Windows Server 2003 are
different. You can't install the 64bit version with a 32-bit key, and you
can't install the 32-bit version with a 64-bit key. And they're not on the
same media regardless.
