I cannot get Windows movie maker to work correctly I have done everything
that it requires me to do, and still it does not record the video from the
DVCAM tape deck, to the WIndows movie maker program. Can anyone help me?

First things first:
Does your DVCAM show up in Device Manager in the Imaging Devices Section?
Is it Movie Maker the one that does not "see" your camera or does it detect
it and refuses to start the capture?
