Hello - my term paper was on a floppy disk and now it
says 'error reading disk' when I try to access my Word
document. I posted here because I know MCSEs can help
fast. My brother said to do an FDISK /MBR at an A: prompt
but this did work to get my doc.

Please help.

You can try to save it to another disk.
Push the disk into the floppy drive, but do not open it
in "my computer".
Right click on the A drive in "my computer" and "save as"
to preferably somewhere on your hardrive.

Try it and see what happens.

Follow those directions:
http://www3.telus.net/dandemar/datrec.htm

If worse comes to worse, go to "search", type in the name
of the term paper and see if it is stored on the hardrive
somewhere.
Thank Christ this has worked for me in the past..however
it doesn't always work!

At work I call this a drive-by. Bypassing the help desk
and going straight to the admin.
