.... just kidding. But thought I would share this workaround:
- Install VMplayer on X64 machine (free download) or the full version if you
have it.
- Create XP X86 VM with Host only networking on a machine with VMWare
installed. Configure virtual machine with minimum specs (eg 64mb ram or
whatever)
- Install printer (dont share as it wont work etc etc)
- Install software you would print from (ie Word processor etc)
- Share HDD of host machine to VM (with appropriate security of course) and
create shortcut on desktop of VM to the Host's HDD.
- Create VM image
- Copy VM image to X64 machine and create shortcut on desktop. Optionally
place shortcut in Startup with run minimise as a shortcut setting.
When you need to print, go to VM window (machine), open shortcut to host
HDD, navigate to file, print.
