I am having an issue with the Admin Pak Tools running on XP Pro x64. The
updated version for x64 installs just fine, however the DNS, DHCP, & WINS
snapins do not appear on the list. The active directory snapins (Sites &
Services, Users & Computers, etc.) are there and I can add them to my
console. Anybody else run in to this issue? Thanks for your help.

Hello Sean,
Are you running the 32-bit MMC or the 64-bit MMC?
Not all the snap-ins were ported to 64-bit, but they may still be available
when you run the 32-bit MMC.exe
Thanks,

I have just been clicking Start | Run | mmc <enter>. I don't know which
version of the MMC that invokes. If that launches the 64-bit version, how can
I launch the 32-bit version?

Hello Sean,
Try start run %windir%\syswow64\mmc.exe
This should start the 32-bit MMC.
Thanks,

OK, I was able to run the console using that method. However, the DNS, DHCP,
and WINS snapins still do not appear on the list. I tried it on both XP Pro
x64 and Server 2003 x64. The individual consoles are available if I got to
Start | Adminstrative Tools, I just can't add them to a custom console.
Weird, eh? If you know of something else I can try I would greatly
appreciate it. Thanks.
