SATA Drive showing up as a removable device?

Installed x64 with no problems on a SATA II drive, only problem is my
drive shows up as a removable drive taskbar. The OS went in without needing
Raid drivers.

Unfortunately there are no x64 Raid drivers for my board that I can find.
But my question is, Would it change anything givin that my machine works fine
as well as all my software. Its a combination of not liking the idea that my
drive shows up as removable, and I use other removable drives and dont want
to mistakenly unmount my primary drive.

Machine stats:
Abit AN8 SLI N-Force chipset
AMD 4800+ Dual core
2x BFG Nvidia 7800GTX in SLI
4GB Corsair Dual Channel 3200 RAM
250GB SATA II Drive

Thanks

Since you usually need two identical drives for a RAID setup why care about
RAID drivers?

Is the drive correctly identified in the BIOS? In Device Manager?

Don't worry, you will get the message that the drive cannot be stopped right
now, try again later.

It is, but for some reason they showed up as fixed drives up until BIOS
revision 1008 on my MOBO, if I remember.
