Brand new into the x64 world, on the CD what is the difference in the AMD64
folder and i386? I'm guessing the AMD64 has all of the x64 compiled
binaries and i386 is there for compatibility?

Hello Joe,
The i386 folder contains the 32-bit binaries(to support WOW64) while the
AMD64 folder contains the x64 binaries.
Note a number of the files are prepended with a W in the i386 folder, which
is removed at install time
Thanks,
