I begin to think the installation is hard-coded to look for something on the
CD. Since I am pointing the routine to /TMP, to where I extracted it, it
promptly fails. Usually, you would expect such a routine to let you
intervene. I still wonder, though, if someone managed to circumvent that
error - might it be fruitful to try and burn a CD of those extracted files?
Anyone tried such a thing? Ever?
