Disk Management Error(Win XP x64)

Has anyone seen this? When I try to view the disk properties in the lower
pane of Disk Management it reports "The operation was canceled due to an
internal error".
I believe this is causing other errors such as not being able to create an
ASR disk.

No problem here. Everything works well in disk management.

I have seen this error associated with the x86 version of XP when the SP2
install failed for one reason or another. Try running the System Files
Checker utility and see if it finds that a dll is missing or corrupted.

Ran the SFC and still have the same problems. No volume information for hard
drives in Disk Management and cannot create ASR disks. I check the system
logs and found "Unexpected failure. Error code: 1@01010018" for the Virual
Disk Service.

Darrell,

Thanks for the information. I did not see the x64 operating system on the
list of affected os's. Is this ok for x64?
