For the same reason you are here. Except with a forum it just seems easlier
to communicate with people -- http://mjohns2.ipbhost.com/ "Brat" <> wrote in message news > why? > > -- > Sue MCNGP #69 > > "mjohns2" <> wrote in message > news:VKb2c.34576$ om... > > I have just setup a new forum so we could exchange info better. I do not have difficulty communicating here but to give a well rounded
response... I looked at your site and here is my opinion... 1. Just about everyone uses OE or Outlook or some such program for email/newsgroup posting and are familiar with such platforms 2. Web based forums (such as yours) are sometimes difficult for beginners to manipulate thru whereas with OE (and the like), seeing multiple posts in their entirety is performed with much ease so that searching for answers or information is more easily attained 3. Sites, like yours, are a dime a dozen... so what makes yours so special? All I see is a post about you persuing your A+ cert while the rest of us here are persuing (or obtained) MCSE and MCSA. There is no content under the CompTIA or Microsoft Posts... are you expecting someone else to propose topics/rules/regulations/control/ideas/etc? And from what I can tell, it is only you monitoring the site... there are no experts... just a beginner cert taker (I can't say more as I do not know your background and is not stated on the site). Are you the expert? Is this merely a project? "Our members have made a total of 1 posts We have 3 registered members" <-- not exactly well represented. If you are looking for ease of use, I would suggest that you go with a different format... perhaps like http://communities.microsoft.com/new...ation&sLCID=us or http://tinyurl.com/aaf8 which duplicates the way OE displays posts with expandable menus for ease of use and searchability. But that is just my opinion... others can judge for themselves... personally, I use OE for ease of use... I can find posts quickly/easily (regardless of my experience) so I can read, post and continue on with my day... I do not have time to go into menus and then have to backtrack several pages to get to the next topic/section to start over.. Again... just my opinion -- Sue MCNGP #69 "mjohns2" <> wrote in message news:rbc2c.20505$ om... > For the same reason you are here. And I do thank you
#1. I think the same amount of people that use OE or Express also use IE or Netscape #2. You are 100%, but I'm also assuming that the people that want to get certificates do have some form of computer knowledge. #3. I am asking for topics/rules/regulations/control/ideas/etc? I'm a little nervous of adding stuff like linux and macs cause I dont want it to turn into a linux is better the microsoft type place. and you are 100% correct I am just a cert taker, no experts, but I have to start somewhere and since my job requeirs me to have an A+ to move to the next step then that's where I'll start. If you ever get time, just take a look at it and give me some suggestions. We all have to start somewhere. Thanks again _________________ "Brat" <> wrote in message news:Rwc2c.111093$... > I do not have difficulty communicating here but to give a well rounded > response... It was a magnanimous gesture on your part to write a lengthy response.
Moreover, you made some valid points. However, your writing style was a bit abrasive. Hopefully, that style does not carry over into the workplace on your new job. If it does, you may want to take a step back and reassess your written communication skills and take remedial action to improve on them.
