Being somewhat new to the newsgroup world, I was wondering if it is okay for me to post some info about a legitimate (definitely not a braindump site) source of both study and active use reference materials or is there another forum here that would be a better for this. This information can be useful for MCSE's and others

This information can be useful for MCSE's and others. By all means, post away legitimate links. Your good intentions are appreciated, I'm sure, but will most likely fall on deaf ears (or blind eyes) for the most part, as noobs tend to post the same old questions first, and only look for replies to their messages, never reading anything else first. You wouldn't be the first to do this, and not likely the last, but it never lasts for long. -- Fris "Eternal Optimist" bee® MCNGP #13 http://www.mcngp.tk The MCNGP Team - We're here to help http://groups.yahoo.com/group/certaholics Certaholics - We're here if you're beyond help =?Utf-8?Q?Frisbee=C2=AE_MCNGP?= |

This information can be useful for MCSE's and others. If it's from your own personal experience and you have nothing to gain from promoting the sites, then sure, by all means, share with the rest of us. But, be prepared to be flamed by those who haven't seen this thread. They won't know that you have nothing to gain and think you're just a spammer. But, like I said, if you have any "secret" sites/books/*legit* training material/etc, then share with the class, as long as you're not spamming. -- KB - MCNGP "silent thug" #26 first initial last name AT hotmail DOT com Ken Briscoe |

I'll just put the info here. The source of reference materials is Tech Republic. I just picked up a set of quick reference cards for the most common commands for both W2K and W2K3 servers. Both are good for study and actual use. I have also bought a couple of their books and they are pretty good too. They may not always show a good answer but at least they will point you in the right direction to find the answer you need. Their web site is www.techrepublic.com . The prices might be a little steep for some but I have never felt cheated either.
Disclaimer: I get no financial or other compensation for offering this information. I just want to share some good info with the other dedicated folks out there who want to do their job better. =?Utf-8?B?TG5rV2l6YXJk?= |
