Are you sure it's not an attempt, by an alien civilization, to make
first contact through your monitor? On Mon, 29 Dec 2003 21:01:05 -0800, Bob <> wrote: >My monitor is blinking on and off and making noises. Is this normal? Hope you can help and saving me $$$$$$$$$ It's the ball bearings. It's all ball bearings these days! Seriously, what kind of MONSTER monitor do you use that it costs $1000? And if you require such a huge monitor for your type of work, how do you not know more about computers? -- Politician Spock MCSA, CCEA, MCNGP #15 The MCNGP Team - We're here to help This posting is provided "AS IS" with no warranties, and confers no rights. The vacuum pod in control panel will automatically compensate for the difference in plangiform vortex. Reboot and check the vertical stabilizers and all should be well. What kind of noises? If its crackling / cracking noises
it usually means that there's a minute crack on the CRT itself. If you are up to it, you can clean the area and place some silicone glue over it, otherwise it means a replacement of the CRT, in which case it may prove frugal to just replace the whole thing. WARNING - there's high voltage in there, enough to kick a 200lb. person across a room!!!! I'd say take it to a shop and have them analyze it first. >-----Original Message----- >My monitor is blinking on and off and making noises. Is this normal?
