When you buy Vista, how are you going to protect it from viruses. I
installed Vista over XP then Norton and it wouldn't work, Maybe I should of
installed norton on XP then Vista. Anyone know?

1. lose Norton
2. get Vista compatible "safe hex" solutions:

AntiVirus
Avast! Home Edition v4.7.883 Beta and up (32 Bit & 64 Bit) [NOTE: On
v4.7.881 was given a warning that it's incompatible. Everything works fine
now.]
AVG Anti-Virus Professional v7.1 Build 395a764 and up, v7.5 (32 and 64 Bit).
The Free edition works smoothly, too
ClamWin Free Antivirus 0.88.4 (OSS) (64 Bit)
eTrust EZ Antivirus v7.2.0.0 (32 Bit) (1-year free subscription, follow the
link)
Trend Micro v14.56.1008 (32 Bit)
Trend Micro PCC14.56EN_VistaBeta2 (64 Bit)

AntiSpyware
Ad-aware SE Personal v1.06 (32 Bit) [NOTE: Ad-aware SE Pro works too]
Ad Muncher v4.7 Build 26039/1344 Beta (32 Bit & 64 Bit) [NOTE: The
installation file needs to be run in Administrator mode.]
Ad Muncher v4.7 Build 26156/1347 Beta (32 Bit)
CounterSpy v1.5.77 (32 Bit)
Spybot - Search & Destroy v1.4 (32 Bit)
SpywareBlaster v3.5.1 (32 Bit)

Note: I did not compile the above list, and it is by no means complete. You
could find more by searching the web.

Basiclly Norton has to buy into Vista, you need to purchase the newer
version (?) (I'm sure they've forked over).

FWIW Your XP key is invalidated now, so there's no going back

So you have no idea of whether these work with Vista or not?

Yes, the report I read states that they all work with Vista. Or I wouldn't
have bothered posting it here.

He's taking the Mickey because Norton is not highly regarded by those who
claim to be experts.
