Hi
Ok a few days ago, my DVD players/writers decided to stop working
after a few hours, I have already placed a post on this, well I was given a
few things to look at by this group which I have done and nothing seems to
be wrong, the only thing that looked wrong was when I checked my event log,
it said that DCOM wasn't doing its thing and when I googled DCOM, it didn't
seem that important (please tell me if I am wrong) well since last night I
cannot get onto google, I get a message telling me I may have spyware, so I
ran XOFT spyware remover, AD-AWARE and SPYBOT, I also did a full system scan
by all of them, also I have Norton corporate 10 antivirus, Nothing showed
up. any idea's?

Windows Xp media centre
AMD3500 64bit
1.5 gig mem
Philips DVD
Benq DVD
ATI 9600 graphics
C-Media sound

I mainly use the PC for music and films, work (which is music and the odd
film) I don't play many games (maybe some shoot em up once a year) MSN my
wife when she's at work, but that's about it. I also want to back up work
that I have on the PC now but a little worried I take with it whatever it is
may be on my PC, that's if there is something, its the google message that
worries me.

Here's hoping people,

Gordon

That's what I like to see, a nice sensible answer, any other dicks with a
similar answer when you find yourself lonely with no friends and you decide
to end it all, then make sure its a nice high bridge would hate you to
actually live any longer than you have to.

Try buying a new machine.
Also, ****, don't assume anyone who gives you an answer to a new thread has
read anything of your previous thread.

Now ****-off.

Lunch was nice;
Bent caribou nostril accentuated with undercooked woodpecker gut
accentuated by underdone used tampons and tendon compote accentuated
with over-cooked heads of lettuce, arranged in a bubbling pail brimming
with cheap remnants of seaweed, scallion and squash in butter, a side of
bread and a keg of rancid nut juice.

Well yet another nice answer, so I will leave it at this...in the past this
group has been more than helpful to me and my family, giving good advice. I
have even let the kids ask questions without doubting the quality and
integrity of the people here. Now I see the group has been taken over by a
few people who think that using bad language to everyone is fun, laughing at
people because they don't have the IT knowledge to do simple tasks, but to
me thats not a fault, My wife is a nurse in a cancer ward, she has no clue
as to what to do with any PC but she's good at her job and with people who
need her help.
Well get on with it folks, I can do without it the stupid one line remarks,
I just needed some help.

I would like thank all those who have helped in the past, you were and
mostly are a good crowd.

Gordon

Ps. as for you Mr Banned Apache, I hope you need help some day, not by my
someone in a cancer ward (God forbid), just for a little thing that bugs
you, I hope you get the same response as I did off you.

You pussy.

--
For my own part, I have never had a thought which I could not set down
in words with even more distinctness than that with which I conceived
it. There is, however, a class of fancies of exquisite delicacy which
are not thoughts, and to which as yet I have found it absolutely
impossible to adapt to language. These fancies arise in the soul, alas
how rarely. Only at epochs of most intense tranquillity, when the
bodily and mental health are in perfection. And at those weird points
of time, where the confines of the waking world blend with the world of
dreams. And so I captured this fancy, where all that we see, or seem,
is but a dream within a dream.

Have a look at
http://www.spywarewarrior.com/rogue_...e.htm#products
to see if you can identify what is telling you you have spyware.
Use HijackThis!.
