Hi all!
I have a question that is truly baffling me.

I connected a wireless router to my desktop and it's working great - i
set up my laptop to connect and it says the laptop is connected and the
signal strength is excellent.

I have a Dell Inspiron with Windows XP installed and it's never had a
problem connecting to other wireless networks - just this one :::: go
figure :::::

I have tried Internet Explorer, Netscape and Opera and none of them
will browse.

I opened a command prompt and i can ping anything from my laptop so I
know it is a browser issue - I'm just baffled how to fix it.

Any ideas?

Thanks so much,

JoLynn

What IP does this computer have when you enter IPconfig /all at the DOS
Command Prompt?

^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^
Why is your router serving dns to your network? Are you using PPPoE?

Try changing that to your host's dns server and see what happens.

THANK YOU SMOOOOOCH!!!!!
when i read over the IPCONFIG - i realized the problem was the lack of
DNS server - i took your advice and used the host's DNS and it works
like a champ -

THANK YOU EVERYONE that helped!!!
