WOW!
Thanx y'all!
I see that I was being an enabler.
I drove him down (from Knoxville, TN) to his brother's house (que the
Deliverance music) in North Carolina yesterday & have washed my hands
of him. (I'll still correspond via email tho....just no money!)

Thanx again

Doc

There's nothing wrong with helping somebody out...It's just a question of
whether you are helping or just enabling (which is not helping, in any way,
shape, or form).

The correspondance by email sounds fine and there may come a day when you
can help in good conscience...You will know when-- he won't ask for help,
he'll have changed and be trying to make it on his own.

Unfortunately, they usually don't change and you don't want to be the one
waiting for it to happen.

I would definitely pray about it, tell your friend God has a plan for him,
He just needs to get off his butt and do what god wants him to do !
