Default Linguistic skills

Is it just me, or has the linguistic skills of our fellow certified
"professionals" gone to hell? I realize a lot of the time there is a
language barrier for those whose primary spoken language is not english.
But I am talking about those whose header information places them in North
America! I wonder if MS should change it's base requirements from that of
having experience to ones having the ability to even spell in their OWN
language!!!

There are a few posts on here I would probably have liked to help as they
were sincere requests but once read, it is virtually impossible to accertain
what exactly was verbalized!

Posting to Usenet is a lot like chatting with friends for many people;
as long as it is understandable it's good enough for informal purposed.

Have you ever seen or heard about an email from Steve Balmer?
Steve has NO TIME for the niceties of spelling or formatting but he
got his point across.

Check out the post from Peter M. If you can decipher it, you are a better
man than I.

Actually I understood Peter's.... goes something like this...

"Hi all! Just passed 210 and going on 215. Did somobedy here took like
almost
back to back? (so You still can see the diff)."

translation: I just passed 210 and am going to take 215 next. Has anyone
taken them back to back to see the difference between the two exams.

"I am thinking to take in next
week, but want to be sure I read the important stuff between Pro and
Server."

translation: I am thinking to take 215 in the next week but I want to read
up on Server first

"70-210 would consider easy with no tricky questions and some
self-answering."

translation: I found 210 easy with no tricky questions....

I have no clue about the self-answering part though... aren;t all the
questions self-answer?? Meaning YOU answer... or is there an exam out there
that answers questions FOR you... hell I wish!!!

"Thank You for any help" <--- self expainatory

And no, I am not a better man than you... I'm not even a man lol

SUE!!!

Exactly... no one said we had to be formal here... but people are leaving
out words!! entire phrases!! to the point of being undiscernable! One guy
in particular posted a question here about finding something on the MS web
site... said he could find it and needed help finding it! I have to guess
that he meant to say he could NOT find the answer... but his post said he
could and then asked someone to help him find it! And this is just a very
mild case! Another guy was asking about his welcome package ... said he
gave the tests... gave them to whom??? Again, I have to guess that he was
saying he TOOK the tests but who knows???

My point is simply this... how can we help if we cannot understand the
question asked????

never heard of him

thats the point... if one can get the point across it would not be an
issue... this is about us trying to understand what is said AT ALL!!

You mean "indiscernible".

Perhaps Microsoft needs to create additional certification newsgroups for
the ESL folks in America.

Since watching the Microsoft certification newsgroups, I've learned how
English speaking people from countries other than the U.S. state things
quite differently. (Examples: Sitting an exam, Writing an exam)

It doesn't make it wrong but rather it adds more color (colour) to an
otherwise gray (grey) language.
