KFC Cluedo

My daughter just received a CD game of Cluedo with KFC food. The game is
designed for Windows 95, but I have XP. I've set the compatibility to
Windows 95, but it still crashes and freezes often, anyone know what else I
can do to fix it?

TIA

Jen

Tell your daughter not to eat the food that came with that game.
At the very least, check the expiration date.

Throwing the ff'in game away.

My wife and I divorced over religious differences. She thought she was

Wow! You must really like Murphy! Why on Earth would you even
try to load some bullshit CD your daughter got at KFC? Haven't
you ever heard that malware of the worst kind circulates this
way?

Nope, just not too bright. But, to extend the humorous metaphor,
what is it that chickens do all day? Peck around the muck in
their coop looking for food, which translates to installing any
and all "food" software the OP can find on their PC.

No, what they serve at KFC is NOT food. Nor is it chicken. Nor is it from
Kentucky. The only bit of the name that's remotely accurate is the 'fried'.

You should be thoroughly ashamed of yourself as a mother; a responsible
parent would NOT take their child(ren) into *ANY* fast food 'restaurant'.
There is zero nutrition in any of it - it's no wonder kids today are becoming
obese before they hit puberty - it's because of irresponsible parenting. Next
time your daughter wants a McDonald's/BK/KFC/Pizza Hut/Wimpy/whatever, you
take her to a proper restaurant where they serve proper food. It doesn't have
to be anywhere flash, just somewhere selling decent nosh.

I know why parents take their kids to these places - they're cheap. Well that
may be true in the short-term, but you're going to pay for it in the
long-term - ever see the movie-length documentary 'Supersize Me'? Suggest you
watch it; it took less than a month for a fit, healthy, bloke in his mid-30s
to put on 3 stone, triple his cholesterol and clog his arteries so much that
he was just one more BigMac away from a serious heart attack. Do you *really*
want that for your daughter? Junk food is addictive. Teach her good eating
habits now, whilst she's young, and she'll have them for life.

How much did that KFC 'meal' cost? £4? For that same money you could have
gone somewhere like Pret a Manger (organic Fairtrade sandwich and soup shops
we have in the UK) and bought her a healthy, freshly made, organic tomato
soup (£2) - which would have provided her with vitamins C, D, A and B and a
cheese and ham sandwich (on a lovely nutty, granary bread - not white -
bleached flour is *very* unhealthy) - providing calcium, fibre and protein.
Then, for an extra £1, you could have bought her a fruit salad bowl (grapes,
strawberries, orange segments, apple pieces, pineapple, kiwi fruit and mango)
or a pot of natural yoghurt with fruit compote. Okay, there would have been
no free CD - but it doesn't work anyway. The 'gift' is knowing that you've
given your child something nutritionally balanced. If I had my way, I'd
introduce a ban on fast food restaurants targeting children. All adverts for
'Happy Meals' should be banned.

Fast food is aptly named - you feel full for about 20 minutes then you're
left feeling empty again - and you're hungrier than you were before because
your body hasn't received any nutrients. A nice, thick, hearty soup, made
from decent ingredients (providing it's soup weather - and it probably is
down there at the moment) will keep you going *FAR* longer than junk.

Remember - teach a child the way they should go and, when they are older,
they will not stray from it...(hopefully)

Now I'm wondering how much real software there is out there named after
food. MacSOUP comes to mind. http://home.snafu.de/stk/macsoup/

Roxio's Mac burning application - Toast and Jam. Oh and their video-editing
app, Popcorn.

We've got a decent start going, here......

I suppose we should count Java and derivatives, too; I presume that's
named after the slang for coffee but will sit corrected if someone shows
that it's not. Isn't there a JavaBeans, too, related to that software?

Oh! AppleWorks.
