In attempting to slipstream SP2 into an original copy of Office 2003, I
have encountered an error. Main2spff.msp can be handled properly, but
the next file, OWC11sp2.msp fails and results in an an error message
"This installation package could not be opened. Verify that the package
exists and that you can access it, or contact the application vendor to
verify that this is a valid Windows Installer package."
Whereby the SP2 files have been extracted to d:\office_sp2, and the
Office CD files have been installed to d:\Office,
msiexec /p D:\Office_SP2\OWC11SP2ff.msp /a D:\Office\OWC11.MSI
shortfilenames=true /qb
results in the above error. Anyone have an idea where the glitch is? The
OWC file is indeed there and can be executed. Using WXPsp2 if it matters.
