Right click on the CD, select Properties, AutoPlay and what a music
disk is suppose to do.

I dunno, if Explorer doesn't even show the contents, disk title or
anything he may have something else going on there.

You may try re installing media player - your pioneer software may have
changed some file associations or attributes - wont hurt to give it a
go.

Have you checked for a firmware update from the manufacters sight? You
may also want to do a google search for "Autofix.exe" and give that a try.

That was the first thing I did. Like I said the explorer can;t ever
read the content. It looks like DVD drive can't recognize mp3 or wma.
Have you seen something like that?

Originaly my IBM came with different CD-ROM. I've upgraded this to
DVD-burner. I did have a problem watching DVD when I used regular dvd
software that came with my comp.
I thought that this may be a firmware problem so I upgraded the latest
firmware. I still had problem watching DVD's. I installed couple other
dvd software and still no luck. Than I installed Power DVD and I was
able to watch DVD's but I never check playing CD's. My sound is working
fine because I can play music in WMP and watch DVD's but If I put CD
into cd-rom my explorer can't even recognize CD content.

Wait a minute -- you just backed up on us.

Are you talking about a regular AUDIO CD or a CD with MP3 files on it?

If you are talking about discs that someoen created in software with
MP3 files or WMA files on it, the issue might be of discs that weren't
made correctly.
If you are talking about a regular audio disc, then we are talking
about the drive and it's driver.
