I don't know how big a gnarly critter trail house is, but it must be
pretty big with all of those accoutrements.

There're a lot of different ways to make 10 gallons. For example
there's the 10 gal aquarium. Anyway, there's a lot more space than one
mouse needs in there, population wise.

Well, I was thinking that if there were a lot of space, you could do
more than just have 2 mice like you tho't you had.

You could have a commune of mice. You could have a breeding farm of
mice. If you had a breeding farm, you could get into the different
mouse coats and colors that some people like. What color are these two
meeces? I know exactly what color those ugly babies are, pink.

The proud parents (mother is black & white):

The crittertrail home is pretty darn close to being 10gal in size, but it
has an externally attached wheel and potty on the sides plus the house in
the sky and loop d loop in the sky addons so its a bit more spacious than
the 10gal with a wooden house and wheel inside on the floor.

I could do two in each cage easily. I'm not ready for a mouse farm yet! I'll
be happy if I can get two in each cage and homes for the rest!

So, is the male all gray? Does the female have any other color besides
b&w?

Whoa! That looks like a brand new acrylic aquarium.

These meeces have an estate.

First you can let them live in the lap of luxury. Later you can see
what happens when they are more crowded tenement conditions. Then,
after that a little mild 'deprivation' or minimal caloric provision.
Research shows that 'starving' [nutritionally adequate, minimal caloric,
low percentage body fat] meeces survive the best.

I can't imagine you know nearly enough folks who are going to want some
little mice. You better get those little guys properly sexed and
segregated, they'll be reproductive before you expect it. Let me see,
HI doesn't do snakes, but I'm pretty sure they have predatory birds.

My Dad was in the Air Force; Tours yes, and lots of countries, but
over many years Hawaii was always just a fuel stop.

Male is solid brown with red eyes. Female is black and white.

I initially bought a extra large 10 gallon container and the accessories you
can kind of see in that old picture for the two mice, then bought the
critter trail home used for $15, in anticipation I might get a ton of
babies... and I did.

Thanks for the advice.

But if you over feed them, they die.

Been there myself. Over the years I've had the opportunity to view a few
exotic spots through those little airplane windows. Got a few pictures of
airport terminals in a shoebox stashed somewhere. <G>

Drill a small hole in your next door neighbors house, (the one you
don't like) make it big enough for them to fit the mice through. Once
you have put them inside their house, plug the hole so they won't get
back out right away.

Thanks, but it's already a major part of my diet.
