Hi
In the MCAD track, you have 2 Core exams: Windows or Web Application Development, and XML Web Services and Server Components Development, plus an elective one. In the MCAD track, you have both Windows and Web Application Development, XML Web Services and Server Components Development plus the Solution Architecture, and then an elective one. So, once you have your MCAD, you've done all but Windows/Web Application development (depending on which course you took for the MCAD) and Solution Architecture. Is it possible to take just those two additional exams and get your MCSD certification if you already have the MCAD? And if so, is there a time constraint in between the additional two exams would have to be taken? I guess that's a question I expected in the FAQ but couldn't find. Regards Stephan Stephan Steiner |

Yes. This is exactly how certification works. If you pass another 2 exams
you can get your MCSD. This is the same thing at MCSA/MCSE or even MCDBA -- Emanuel Ceciu MCSE, MCT GeCAD "Stephan Steiner" <> wrote in message news:... > Hi > > In the MCAD track, you have 2 Core exams: Windows or Web Application > Development, and XML Web Services and Server Components Development, plus > an > elective one. > > In the MCAD track, you have both Windows and Web Application Development, > XML Web Services and Server Components Development plus the Solution > Architecture, and then an elective one. > > So, once you have your MCAD, you've done all but Windows/Web Application > development (depending on which course you took for the MCAD) and Solution > Architecture. March 18, 2005 You get the MCSD as soon as you pass all of the tests. There is no time contraint other than you have to take the tests before Microsoft retires them, which isn't going to be for a while.
