it doesn't matter whether you choose C# or VB because they are almost the
same in the .net world. It depend on your language preferences before you choose one over the other. if you are C, C++, Java, go for C# coze the syntax is similiar. If you are VB programmer, go for VB.Net. The exams focused on ..Net Framework and not much on language differences. I agree I have learned that functionally they do exactly the same thing,
literally. Not like VB6 compared to say C++. I would think that in the market place there will be more VB but its helpful to know a little C# systax becuase in some documentations C# example maybe all that is given. It could be just the books I got though "zawmaung" wrote: > it doesn't matter whether you choose C# or VB because they are almost the > same in the .net world. I think it also depends what you want to do i.e Desktop vs webpages. Although
functionally the same, I've noticed internet related adds tend to ask more for C# wheras desktop or local distributed apps are VB. =?Utf-8?B?QW50?= |

Apologies for offending you. My response to the question was only in the hope
that in sharing my own observations with other peoples on this thread, Gilroy might get a better idea of what he should do with respect to his ability in finding a job. I reiterate, it might depend on what you choose to follow, either web or distributed apps. I’m a VB developer & haven’t had much to do with C#. As for Kline, you might feel better putting people down on another Newsgroup altogether. This space is utilized for people supporting each other at all levels, even if the help might be flawed at times. If you again see another ‘dumb’ post of mine, just ignore it & abuse someone else somewhere else. Thanks. Hope this helps Gilroy =?Utf-8?B?QW50?= |
