first of all, microsoft book sucks. i study the microsoft book and failed
miserably. the topic in the book are very light and doesn't explained in
detailed. You need to know much more than what the book explained if you want
to pass. the best book is the Que Publishing on MCAD. it is much thicker than
MS Press, but you will pass the exam if you use Que.

The Microsoft Training Kits for the exams are
accurate on what you will need to know on the exam. You
should have past experience to suppliment the book. You
could also use other books to substitute for experience. I
would suggest MSPress Ado.Net Step By Step. It should
cover all of what you will need as far as databases. The
MSPress Training Kits for the exams come with free
practice questions. I would install these tests for they
are accurate as to what you will score on the real test.
There are free questions (not as accurate as the questions
with the book) at microsoft.com/learning/assessment. There
are exam guidelines at microsoft.com/learning/mcp/ and
then click on your certification. Then click requirements
and then click on the exam number. I hope to see you on
the MCP site soon!
