I am scheduled to take the 70-300 exam a week from now and would like to
hear what others have to say about the best preparation for it. I searched past posts on this topic and it hasn't been specifically addressed. For anyone who has taken 70-300, can you tell me what area from the objectives that challenged you the most? From what I hear, people with experience are known to have failed the first time because 70-300 is the most tricky in terms of word play shades of grey in meaning in the answers. So a discussion of the areas where people are tripped up most in can be helpful for the learning process. My study strategy is to set a pace with the Transcender practice tests, speed-read the Microsoft Press self-training kit for 70-300, and read specific articles from the MSDN. I've got five years lifecycle experience and majored in marketing and mangaement information systems. Regards, Peng MCDBA + MCAD Peng Te |

GPF - thanks for the tip. I just finish reading the little red book for a
big picture look. There were a few topics that were new to me, such as ORM. But overall I feel confident about the test. MCSD, come to me... Just to update my first post....search google for terms: architect 70-300
and you'll get lots of hits on past discussions. Summary of what I found for those who would be interested: - exam format: three case studies, timed. first is 60 mins, and last two are 30 mins each. number of questions in each seem to vary. - everybody had their best study material... however, transcender and examcram2 came up a lot. other people said MS Press self-paced training, while many others said NOT. - this exam is more about reading comprehension and less about memorization, and most unlike the MCAD exams. - experience helps a lot, and you need to understand "why" and not so much "how" - you should ask for lots of scrap paper to diagram and take notes.
