Hi,
Sorry to cross-post here as well as in MCSE forum. Anybody here got MSF practitioner cert? What are the benefits and how hard is it? Do I need to attend the training or can I just sit for the exam? Technet didn't mention clearly that training is a MUST or just "Nice To Have" kind. For those of you not in the know, here is MSF info: http://www.microsoft.com/learning/program/msf/ Thanks in advance zeus |

I had an instructor that had it. From what I understand, it is pretty
rigorous. He's had it a while, but I believe he was required to do time in Redmond; there were practicals involved. He did his pre-.NET, and the MSF has changed now, so the requirements may have as well. Sorry. I should have been more clear. The bottom line is I don't know.
Should have kept my mouth shut. "zeus" <> wrote in message news:... > Hi, > > Sorry to cross-post here as well as in MCSE forum. > > Anybody here got MSF practitioner cert? All you need to do is pass the 74-100 exam. It's a purely multiple choice
exam based on the MSF. You can read the whitepapers at www.microsoft.com/msf or better yet, take the MSF class 1846A MSF Fundamentals, then read the whitepapers, then sit for the exam. I've taken the class, read the whitepapers, am using MSF on projects, but haven't sat for the exam yet. Not sure if I will. Becoming an MSF Practitioner gets you listed on a MS spreadsheet of worldwide practitioners. Helpful? Not sure for what unless perhaps you want to make that a niche for consulting or something. It might help if you're a team lead or Project Manager too I suppose. So, to sum up, you don't need to sit in a class. All you need to do is pass the 74-100 exam. BTW, to add to my previous post, the most appropriate forum is the MSF
newsgroup for further info or questions; although most MCSDs should at least know what MSF is! Hi,
Thanks for the information and point me to the right direction. I was just wondering whether it is worth it to sit for the MSF exam or not. Thanks again. 74-100 is multiple choice based, plus two or three select-and-place
questions. Take 1846A MFS Essentials course is optional. Be prepared very good before you take exam, it required a lot of business sence. 70 questions 90 minutes 70% passing score Tiendq, MCSD, MSF Practitioner "zeus" <> wrote in message news:... > Hi, > > Sorry to cross-post here as well as in MCSE forum. > > Anybody here got MSF practitioner cert?
