Hi, all.

How do you think of the book <The GNU C Programming Tutorial>? I expected
it would facilitate me to understand the softwares coded in GNU C initially,
but I get little from it both on Language C and GNU C. In fact, I want
something could help me to grasp both the strategies of standard C/GNU C and
the essences of algorithms in those softwares. Any adivces or books
recommended to me? Thanks.

Best Regards,

Xiangliang Meng

Get a copy of K&R2 and read it. Once you're familiar with standard C,
you can easily learn the GNU C extensions from the gcc documentation
(they're nicely bundled together, in a chapter of their own).
