GroupShot - great freeware

I recently took a couple of group photos and (typically) some folks have
good faces in one and the rest have good faces in the other. I vaguely
remembered reading about GroupShot (free from Microsoft) being a solution
for this problem and sure enough it is. You can take the best from multiple
images and create a composite. This idea always made me think of the goofy
pictures people take where their heads wind up on muscle builder bodies in
beach scenes, etc, but GroupShot merges the selected pieces flawlessly -
amazing! If this is news to you check this link:

http://research.microsoft.com/projects/GroupShot/

By the way, are there other freeware apps that have this capability?

And have a Happy New Year!
