DxO -> Is it the holy grail?

Just taking my first digital steps for the last months.
And recently switched over from JPEG to RAW.

I bought the proggie DxO to "finetune" RAW EOS 350D files.
The results looks great, for a novice like me

My question: are there other proggies that can do the same or maybe
better?

Thank you!

The Flying One
