Hi All,

I've uploaded the comparison between the 350D and 400D to:
<http://www.dimagemaker.com/specials/cameras/camtests.php>

There are four articles with minimally compressed JPEGs plus all the RAW
files for you to make you own conclusions.

Cheers,

Wayne

It is very interesting how the night shots with the 400D seem to be much
sharper but just the opposite in daylight.

I noticed that too. I have no idea why but I will do some further
testing and see if I can figure it out.

Cheers,

Wayne

Given the difference in brightness and contrast between the picture pairs,
all I can say is the camera's are very close, just as I would have expected.
And the main thing to be learned, as you already state, is that there is no
real noise penalty to be paid for the higher pixel count.
I haven't tried playing with the raw files myself though to match them more
closely, it wouldn't prove anything I want to know anyway

MrT.
