I am using a Nikon CP 5700 (using it for 4 years now.) Today I attached my
SB80DX unit to it and all was well.........until the "red" flashing SB
indicator in the viewfinder of the camera started to blink red and now it
won't quit. The camera is working fine except for this flash problem. The
book say's the flash unit is "recharging" and to wait and it will stop. Not
in my case. It blinks red continuously. Anyone know what I should do?

Sounds like a repair issue ... but, before you consider that ... take out
the camera battery and the card and then put them back in and do a camera
reset. I am not familiar with that Nikon, so cannot tell you if there is a
menu item to restore the camera defaults.
