error in using Alias Wavefront maya

i m user of Alias Wavefront maya (3d graphic creator)
software whaen i click on any of color option or try to
open color palates in maya so software of maya become hang
and no messege appear on screen but i m also use othr
softwares of 2d graphics & 3d graphics so there is no
problem create in it i try so many time to resolve this
prob by again installation by installing service packs &
other tecniques but no result come
