Vombato.com is pleased to announce the release of Vombato Mail Drive
version 1.3 - software to create a virtual drive on any of your POP3
email account anywhere on the web.

Vombato Mail Drive will allow you to store your favorite files with
photos, video, music and data files on your email account.

Vombato Mail Drvie lets you store files on your email account as if on
additional
hard drive. Vombato maintains directory tree structure as a normal
filesystem.

It's a whole new way of thinking about your email account.

You can simply copy files and folders on your email account and these
files will be downloaded and awaiting your use when you arrive at any
location around the world.

You can always get access to your important files via the Internet.

And the great news is that you can encrypt all files stored on your
email account.

account on any mail server with SMTP and POP3 support.

Sounds like an interesting idea. Too bad I'd never consider clicking on any
link in spam.

Why not actually *get* an additional hard drive?They must be costing now
less than 2 GBs for 1 euro.And DVD burners now come for 50 euros, and a
DVD-R can be carried with you around the world allowing room for thousands
of RAW pictures.I would never click a spam link, though.I do click on links
from regulars of this group.

Hi.

I don't quite get the point of this "Storage".

Your ISP will have some sort of limit on the amount of your storage space on
their Email Server. They probably rotate out old items when this space is
about to be exceeded, and that could mean the end for your "Stored" files,
and you have absolutely no control over the level if incoming mail.

It strikes me as much too risky. HDDs are so cheap nowadays it just is not
worth taking that kind of risk.
