Smugmug uses the Google API and lets you kind of do that with photos
(but you have to enter the coordinates or place yourself). Example:

Near as I can figure using Google Earth:

35 06' 06.45" N
85 25' 26.09" W

Nice image!! So far I haven't tamed PTGui, but look forward to comparing
thae accuracy of 5.4 to other options...

I forgot how many I used for this one. And I also forgot to keep
foreground images out of panos when I was taking them.

It's an interesting composition. Foreground objects tend to add
"depth."
